Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) Program Coordinator
The FASD Keyworker provides family-centred, culturally responsive support to children, youth, and families affected by suspected or confirmed Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and other Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions (CDBC). Working closely with families, schools, service providers, and community partners, the Keyworker helps families navigate supports, build on strengths, access resources, and promote positive outcomes for children and youth.
Housing Program Coordinator
The Housing Programs Coordinator is responsible for the administration, delivery, and oversight of Wachiay Friendship Centre’s housing programs, including the Canada–British Columbia Housing Benefit (CBCHB) and Reaching Home.
The Coordinator supports individuals and families experiencing housing instability by providing housing navigation, advocacy, financial assistance, and connections to community resources. The position provides leadership and supervision to the Homeless Prevention Worker, oversees program budgets and reporting requirements, and builds strong partnerships with landlords, service providers, funders, and community organizations.
The Coordinator ensures housing programs are delivered in accordance with funding agreements, program guidelines, and Wachiay policies while maintaining culturally safe, trauma-informed, and client-centred services.
Youth Program Manager
Wachiay is seeking a Youth Program Manager to lead, coordinate, and support youth programming that strengthens Indigenous identity, self-respect, leadership, and well-being among youth.
The Youth Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery and development of culturally responsive youth programs, including the Out of the Shadows program and the School’s Out Program. This position provides leadership, guidance, and support to youth program staff while ensuring programs are responsive to the needs of Indigenous youth, children, and families.
The Youth Program Manager will oversee the Youth Program Assistant, support program planning and delivery, build community partnerships, and provide education, resources, and connections for youth and families impacted by FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), FAE (Fetal Alcohol Effects), and CDBC (Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions).
