Art for Art's Sake

Two young Indigenous artists are teaching a free 3-day youth workshop next week at the CAMPBELL RIVER ART GALLERY, during the time that they are exhibiting their artwork in our gallery

ART WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH 15 - 24 years of age

July 25, 26 + 27

12 - 4 pm

Work with artists Amy Malbeuf and Jordan Bennett for three days and have your artwork hung in the Campbell River Art Gallery for five weeks during Malbeuf and Bennett’s exhibition!

The workshop is free to attend, everyone must commit to all three days and lunch is provided.

Amy Malbeuf is a Métis visual artist from Rich Lake, Alberta who utilizes caribou hair tufting, beadwork and performance to examine relationships between humanity and nature, as well as race and culture.

Jordan Bennett is a multi-disciplinary visual artist of Mi’kmaq heritage from Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland whose work is currently exploring notions of the living artifact through Mi’kmaq and Beothuk visual culture.
