World Hepatitis Awareness Day Contest & Events, July 28th 2016

World Hepatitis Day is an international event focused on raising awareness about viral hepatitis and providing education around prevention, testing and treatment of hepatitis C. It is estimated 600,000 Canadians live with viral hepatitis and (according to the Public Health Agency of Canada) roughly 44% of these people don’t know they have it because they have never been tested. In the past few years, several new, highly effective Hep C treatments have been approved in Canada, making treatment quicker, easier and more successful than it has ever been. Two young Indigenous artists are teaching a free 3-day youth workshop next week at the CAMPBELL RIVER ART GALLERY, during the time that they are exhibiting their artwork in our gallery ART WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH 15 - 24 years of age July 25, 26 + 27 12 - 4 pm Work with artists Amy Malbeuf and Jordan Bennett for three days and have your artwork hung in the Campbell River Art Gallery for five weeks during Malbeuf and Bennett’s exhibition!
